Barefoot Bubbly Extra Dry Sparkling California Champagne: This wine poured a sparkling soft gold into the glass and met the nose with fresh orchard fruits, with a touch of fresh citrus. On the palate this sparkling wine offers soft note flavors of Fuji apples and pear, lemon zest mid palate and lingers with a touch of toast. It has a round mouth feel and well balanced acidity with just a hint of sweetness that is quite pleasing. Barefoot Bubbly Brute Cuvee Sparkling California Champagne: This wine poured a dazzling gold into the glass and met the nose with fresh, crisp apples, pears, peaches and buttered toast with a touch of lemon curd; these aromas followed through with the same pleasing flavors on the palate. The Brut Cuvee was drier and offered no sweetness but was quite refreshing with a lingering finish and well balanced acidity. Laetitia 2012 Brut Rose: This wine poured a beautiful salmon color into the glass. It opened with inviting aromas of strawberries and cherries with soft floral notes, and a hint of citrus. On the palate it was lively and inviting with more strawberries and cherries, along with lemon soufflé, a hint of fresh cut grass and lingering brioche on the back of the palate. It was zesty and round with great acidity and a lingering finish. I really enjoyed this invigorating and dry sparkling wine. This sparkler was crafted of 76% Pinot Noir and 24 % Chardonnay grapes from the Arroyo Grande Valley. The still component in the Brut Rose was aged in mature French oak barrels. 12.5% alcohol. Laetitia Non-Vintage Brut Cuvee: This wine poured a soft gold into the glass and met the nose with crisp aromas of orchard fruit with citrus and melon. On the palate it delivers flavors of green apples, pears, lemon/lime zest, ending with a note of brioche. It is well balanced with round acidity and a lingering finish. I found it to be very fresh and enjoyable. This sparkling wine was crafted from Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Pinot Blanc grapes from the Arroyo Grande Valley. Mumm Napa Cuvee M: This wine poured a vibrant gold into the glass and met the nose with a bright bouquet of orchard fruit and fresh baked brioche. On the palate this sparkling wine delivered flavors of crisp apples, pears and peaches with a touch of lemon curd, buttered toast and honey. It was refreshing with a touch of sweetness balanced with round acidity and a lingering finish leaving the mouth begging for another sip. This sparkling wine was crafted from 48% Chardonnay, 43% Pinot Noir, 6% Pinot Gris, and 3% Pinot Meunier. This wine was crafted in the Methode Champenoise tradition with grapes selected from more than 50 Napa Valley vineyards; thus showcase the exquisite terroir of Napa Valley. 12.5% alcohol. SRP $22.
