A few weeks ago I received an awesomely large box filled with wine samples. As I opened the box I immediately realized it was time to gather my friends for a Ladies Night Out wine tasting evening. It only got better from there because the following week I already had a LNO on my calendar! I took a picture of the wines and sent it to my friends stating, “I’ll bring the wine!”

Shoe Crazy Wine has something for everyone: fun wines available in a wide portfolio at good prices and easy to find at major wine retailers and online. Shoe Crazy Wine may be prominent in the Hollywood scene at major award ceremonies and cast parties but they are also easy going, approachable and geared toward the everyday enjoyment of wine. So let’s take a look at the wines Shoe Crazy Wine shared with me and that my friends thoroughly enjoyed:
Bordeaux 2013 Sauvignon Blanc: This wine poured a soft gold into the glass and opened with aromas of tropical fruit, stone fruit, melon and citrus. On the palate it was smooth in texture with round acidity that created a mouth-watering, lingering dryness. It was crisp and refreshing and easy to drink and enjoy. 12.5% alcohol. SRP $ 26.70 direct including tax.
California 2012 Chardonnay: This classic California Chardonnay poured a straw yellow into the glass and opened with aromas of orchard fruit and lemon curd. On the palate this wine had a creamy, buttery texture with weightiness; ending with an oaky finish. 13.5% alcohol. SRP $20.28 direct including tax.
Bordeaux 2013 Rosé: This wine poured a light salmon into the glass and opened with aromas of white peaches, soft cherries, strawberries and slight savory herbal notes. On the palate it was crisp, light and refreshingly dry. It offered a light yet lingering finish. 12.5% alcohol. SRP $ 24.56 direct including tax.
California Mendocino 2012 Red Blend: This wine was crafted of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Zinfandel and Syrah. It poured a light scarlet into the glass and opened with aromas of red and blue berries, chocolate, toasted walnuts, cinnamon, and vanilla. It was round on the palate with rich acidity, integrated tannins, medium body and a dry, lingering finish. 13.5% alcohol. SRP $23.49 direct including tax.
Bordeaux 2011 Superieur Cabernet Sauvignon: This wine poured a deep garnet into the glass and opened with aromas of red and black fruit, smoke, mocha, and vanilla in a full body wine that was smooth in texture and offered round acidity with more pronounced tannins; ending in a long, dry finish. 13.5% alcohol. SRP $26.70 direct including tax.
Gwen Hurt founded Shoe Crazy Wine LLC in 2013 with a mission and a vision:
Mission Statement: To deliver the ultimate wine drinking experience by never forgetting what quality is and that our customers are everything.
Our Vision: To grow into a wine company that leaves its shoe-print across the globe and creates new wine lovers everywhere!
At the beginning of July Shoe Crazy Wine began a crowd funding campaign with the goal of raising $50,000 to expand their presence in the Asian market. In the United States 70% of wine purchases are done by women, but in Singapore 70% of wine purchases are done by men. Shoe Crazy Wine hopes to disrupt the traditional wine buying landscape in Asia by using their unique and proven strategy (wine, women and shoes) to target women executive leaders to shift to social and pleasure-driven wine consumption. Shoe Crazy Wine has an office in Singapore and has begun a crowd sourcing campaign to reach these Asian women. The Shoe Crazy Wine crowd funding campaign is a donation campaign with lots of perks. Shoe Crazy Wine needs your support for capital, as a customer and as a brand ambassador by spreading the word of Shoe Crazy Wine. So if you are looking to be part of a global wine company visit the Shoe Crazy Wine web site to learn more about their crowd funding campaign.
My Song Selection: My friends and I gathered together to celebrate our friendship and each other with laughter, good food and of course good wine! We would all like to thank Shoe Crazy Wine for supplying us with a bounty of awesome wine to enjoy. Only one song could be paired with such great wine and a great night of women friendship. You guessed it… Kool and the Gang’s “Ladies Night.”
Get your own bottles of Shoe Crazy Wine (or better yet donate to their crowd funding campaign) and let me know what song you pair with it. Cheers!

I like the selection of wine they’re offering! My grandma & her friends all like to drink something different, so a wide selection is perfect.
Agreed. The bigger selection the happier the people!
