I had the pleasure in early April to visit two of Spain’s premier wine regions: Rueda and Ribera del Duero. These two regions are crafted some outstanding wines. Rueda is known for its crisp Verdejo, while Ribera del Duero is putting its stamp on Tempranillo.
Verdejo is a crisp and refreshing white wine at a value price point that you should be drinking now. Ribera’s Tempranillo is different than what La Rioja produces and definitely a wine red wine lovers will enjoy. You had to finish with the 2005 unico, eh? Rub it in why don’t you!! 😉
Hahaha! Epically awesome winery and tasting. We tasted 7 wines! You could lick the floor in the winery, it is so clean. Come over, I’m happy to share my 04′ with you. 😉
So much wine and so little time!
As I adore Vega Sicilia to drink when is available, I love Protos as well. I used to drink it by the case when I was living in Madrid. Nice article Michelle
Thank you so much. I agree both Vega Sicilia and Protos craft wonderful wines. Thanks for reading!
