When was the last time you bought a bottle of Moldovan wine? Do you know Moldova produces wine? Or where its located? According to Senator Rand Paul, ” “When considering a glass from abroad, you might try a Moldovan vintage.” He is not wrong.
The US has been investing heavily in Moldova, focused on rebuilding their wine industry, since 1992, to the tune of over $1.5 Billion?
I am beyond excited to take you on a journey that reads like a cold war spy novel in my first article for Wine Searcher.
Would you please read it and share you thoughts with me?

Thanks so much Michelle!
I will learn a lot from this full and informative article, and YES, this is a real compliment from Caroline Gilby indeed! I have always wondered why the USA had invested in Moldova, I will finally know, this is so strange to me
I hope you have a nice summer despite the covid… We again have to wear masks more and more
Kind regards

You are so welcome. Thank you for all your help! I could not have done it with out you. I literally just hit “send” on an email to you. I think after so much work, the article found a perfect home on Wine Searcher. Moldova is an amazing country with a rich wine history. Their perseverance is admirable and I am glad the US can help them.
Hope to see you again in 2021. Stay well and safe. We are in full pandemic in the US, but my family is social distancing and safe.
Such a great article, Michelle. You fought the good fight on this one, and won. All accolades well deserved!
Thank you. It was sure a fight to get it published, but also a lesson in perseverance. Thank you, Lyn for your important role in the journey of this article.
