What’s the deal with orange wine? Why has a skin-fermented white wine been marred by misconceptions and controversy? Why even consider drinking a wine that’s “orange”?
My latest Forbes article dives into this racy subject with straight-forward information and a few fabulous orange wines you must try!

Have you had orange wine? If not, would you be willing to give it a try? What are your thoughts about this category?

I quite like it although I think that, as with every other color of wine, some can be elegant and others quite rustic. It seems a lot of people (those I know anyway) seem to have experienced only the latter type and are put off the whole category because of it.
I agree with you. Examples in the US lean more toward elegance, while old world bottles seem a bit more rustic at times. If entering in the category for the first time, rustic can end the experimentation.
Thank you for reading and sharing your thoughts.
