“A rich and layered weeknight red.”
2015 Cline Cellars Cashmere Red California USA:
This wine pours a medium ruby with purple hues in the glass. It has a youthful nose of medium intensity and layers of aromas such as fresh picked red and blue berries, violets, black pepper, savory herbs such as lavender and thyme, red licorice, lavender, and a slightly sweet note of candied cherries. The palate is dry and earthy, almost rustic with integrated yet youthful medium tannins and balanced medium+ acidity. It’s meaty, full bodied, and has a long tart fruit finish. This wine is more complex than its price would suggest. A perfect weeknight wine that over delivers.
This wine is crafted of 59% Mourvedre, 22% Syrah, and 19% Grenache from grapes mostly from Cline’s vineyards in Contra Costa County. The wine was aged for 6 months in French oak (28% new) with a dark toast.
Pair with grilled meats, pizza, burgers, or BBQ.
ABV 14.5%

A fantastic wine for the price! I always feel like I am drinking luxurious when I have Cashmere! Great review!
Agreed. Thank you. Cheers!
A blast from the past! My wife and I purchased this wine regularly when we first got into wine. Cline hard to beat for across the board value…a fun place to visit as well! Cheers!
What a great memory. Thank you for sharing it with me Martin. Happy Wine Wednesday!
I love Cline. I actually have not had this particular wine though! I am pretty confident I will be stopping in while at WBC, will have to taste and grab some!
The wine has a new label but has been a staple for Cline for many years. It delivers high quality at a low price.
