This cold, rainy day in Dallas has me reminiscing of a wonderful visit to @utopiavineyard in Willamette Valley’s Ribbon Ridge AVA last week. Owner/Viticultural Manager/Winemaker Daniel Warnshuis crafts beautiful wines. We had the pleasure of tasting through 3 vintages of the ‘Paradise’ Estate Reserve Pinot Noir. The 2014 offered classic notes of dark red fruit, red flowers, baking spice, dried herbs, and a mineral earthiness. This record heat vintage delivers more concentrated fruit with firm structure and broad texture on the palate.
